“Good Day.
I’m writing about Tracy McLachlan who has been my realtor for many years and has displayed endless patience. I met Tracy at an open house in Whyte Ridge around 2008. I already had a realtor selling my house and my experience with him hadn’t been positive. I did not purchase the open house Tracy was offering but I ended up getting to know her and she built my trust while I soul-searched my way through what I was looking for. I owned a large home on the Assiniboine River that was needing maintenance beyond my budget so I was looking to move. After working with her for a year and seeing numerous properties I decided to move into a small rental property I already owned. There was absolutely no reward in it for Tracy through many hours of work. The soul-searching we did determined that I view all real estate as revenue property and I couldn’t justify spending a large amount of money on myself without some financial gain. So a short time later she showed me a condo which I purchased and have been renting out at a profit ever since. She read my situation and my comfort level and took the time to make sure I was at peace with my decision.
I have been an interior designer working in construction in commercial and government sectors for 33 years. I know construction well and my main complaint about realtors has been that they don’t know construction. When I’ve asked them relatively simple questions they usually haven’t been able to answer to any satisfaction. Tracy was clearly different in that area too; she not only answered my questions but taught me a bit I didn’t know. That to me was very valuable.
